APC Waivers and Discounts Policy

The Electronic Journal of Medical Research (EJMR), an open-access journal, requires article processing charges (APCs) to be paid following acceptance. To help support researchers, EJMR offers a discounted APC to the corresponding authors only based in a country that the World Bank classifies as a low-income or lower-middle-income country.

In addition, EJMR also provides its reviewers with a 20% discount on the APCs and a full waiver to its editors and board members for one manuscript publication per year if it is submitted as a corresponding author.

Moreover, any APC fee waivers and discount requests from authors will be considered on a case-by-case basis and may be granted in cases of financial need. All discretionary APC waivers and discount applications should be made prior to the manuscript submission; requests made during the review process or after acceptance will not be considered.

EJMR reserves the right to approve or reject any waiver application. The decision will be communicated to the corresponding author within one week after receiving the request.

Fee waiver or discount applications should be emailed to support@respublishers.com along with the following details:

• Name and complete affiliation of the corresponding author and all the co-authors, along with their ORCID, if available.
• Manuscript Title and Abstract.
• Funding status.
• Reason for requesting a fee waiver.
